Sikh Centre of Seattle Effective date: November 2, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of sikhcentreofseattle.org (the "Site") and your donations, payments, and service bookings made through it. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is run by Gurudwara Sikh Centre of Seattle ("Sikh Centre of Seattle," "we," "us," or "our"), a non-profit, non-political charitable organization.
We use Kind Base, a software platform operated by Kind Base Inc, to run the Site, take donations and payments, and manage donor and booking records. Kind Base is our service provider. Kind Base does not receive your donation as a charity, and it does not run our programs.
Payments on the Site are processed by third party payment processors such as Stripe, NMI Payments, Authorize.Net or through a different payment processor or gateway (managed through the Kind Base platform). We do not see or store your full card number, and neither does Kind Base. Your card details go to our payment processor, which handles them under its own security rules and the card network rules.
When you use the Site, you also agree to the terms of these partners where they apply:
Those terms are between you and the partner. They do not make Kind Base or the payment processor responsible for our programs, our events, or how we use your gift.
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree that you will not:
We may suspend or end your access to the Site at any time if we believe you broke these Terms or put the Site or others at risk. If we suspect illegal activity, we may share information with law enforcement.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a donation or payment on the Site. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to do it for you.
Parts of the Site may let you create an account. You agree to give accurate and current information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone used your account without your permission. We may suspend or close an account that has false information or breaks these Terms.
If you choose a recurring donation, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the amount and on the schedule you select, until you cancel. You can cancel or change a recurring gift at any time by [logging in to your account or by emailing info@sikhcentreofseattle.org]. A cancellation applies to future payments only.
The Site lets you book or sponsor services such as Kirtan Sewa, Langar Sewa, Akhand Path, and wedding ceremonies. For bookings:
Donations. Donations are final and are not refundable, except when we made an error or a charge was made without your permission. If that happened, email us within 30 days of the charge and we will review it.
Service bookings. You may cancel a booking for a full refund up to 7 days before the service date. Within 7 days of the service date, the payment is non-refundable and is converted to a donation.
How refunds work. We send approved refunds to the original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show the refund. We cannot refund the processing fee charged by the payment processor if the card network does not return it.
To request a refund, email info@sikhcentreofseattle.org with your name, the date and amount of the payment, and the reason.
If you see a charge you do not understand, please contact us first at info@sikhcentreofseattle.org or (425) 487-4878. We will respond within 5 business days and work to fix any error. Contacting us is usually faster than filing a dispute with your bank. You keep the right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.
We do not add fees to your payment unless the checkout page shows them. Where the checkout page offers an option to cover processing costs, that option is voluntary. Payment processors and Kind Base charge us fees on some transactions. We do not charge you for those fees.
When you give us your email address or mobile number, you agree that we, or Kind Base on our behalf, may send you receipts, confirmations, reminders, service updates, and other messages about your donations and bookings. We may also send news and event notices.
If you send us text, photos, names, or other material through the Site ("Content"), you keep your rights in it. You give us and Kind Base a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and copy that Content as needed to run the Site and our programs. You promise that you have the right to share the Content and that it does not break any law or the rights of others. We may remove Content at any time. Removed Content may remain in backup or archived copies for a time.
The Site text, images, logos, and design belong to Sikh Centre of Seattle or its licensors. The Kind Base software and marks belong to Kind Base Inc. These Terms give you no rights to use our names, logos, or marks. You may view and print Site pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
The Site may link to websites we do not run. We do not control them, and we do not endorse them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. You use them at your own risk. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites.
The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we and Kind Base make no promise, express or implied, that the Site will be accurate, secure, error free, or always available. Where we list events, dates, or hours, they may change.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sikh Centre of Seattle, its directors, officers, volunteers, and Kind Base Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages from your use of the Site. This includes lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not be more than the amount you paid us through the Site in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
You agree to cover any claim, loss, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) that results from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third party right.
These Terms follow Washington State law and applicable federal law. Before starting any legal action, please contact us and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any court case must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Snohomish County, Washington, and you agree to that location.
Your relationship with Kind Base and your payment processor is covered by their own terms, including any dispute process in those terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on the Site and change the effective date. A change does not apply to payments made before it. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new Terms.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the partner terms listed in Section 2, are the full agreement between you and us about the Site. If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given up that right. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms.
